Many a man curses the rain that falls upon his head,
and knows not that it brings abundance to drive away the hunger.

Let's just hope there are plants left in the garden after these storms roll through. I've already had to go out and rescue some of the smaller plants in containers from the fierce winds. My biggest worry at this point is the maple tree in the back yard. The winds are making it sway like there's no tomorrow, and one of its less stout limbs hangs right over the phone and cable lines for the house, and the line that provides electricity for the garage.
I'm glad to get the rain, but the winds I could do without.
