And life goes on...

It's been really hard for me to get back into blogging since we moved back to Kentucky from Oregon. I don't know if it's just been that settling in period, or what, but I just haven't felt like sharing all the mundane (or not) things that have been happening around here.

Actually, it's more like there's a huge hole in my life now, and there aren't any words to fill it and give it justice. The reason for this hole? Three of my extended family members died in the last six months; the last one, just yesterday.

It wasn't really sudden, and they were all older, but I was just used to them always being there since I was little, and now they're all gone. It's a big thing. One entire generation of my family is now gone. I don't know how to really talk about it, because when I think about it, I just feel very small.

I guess I didn't want to blog these events because blogging just seems to reduce things to a triviality, as if someone's passing should be commented on like what I had for dinner last Tuesday or the cute pair of socks I just knitted.

Now I feel like I need to blog about it to get the cloud from over my head and let all the people who care enough to read this blog know what's going on in my world. It may not be pretty at times, but it's my life and I need to share it right now.
